45 minutes  |  3 - 4 years old  

Children are now ready to participate independently in this class. They will be introduced to basic gymnastics skills and fundamental skills such as standing in line and waiting their turn. Flexibility and agility are increased while keeping a focus on building self-esteem and confidence

1 Hour   | 4 - 12 years old  

This class is geared towards children with little or no experience in gymnastics. Classes are divided by level of ability and age.  A 1 hour class 

Students will work on basic skills such as handstands, forward rolls, and backward rolls. They will also work on strength and balance.

​

Girls Intermediate 

1.5 Hour - All intermediate levels  | 6- 10 years old  

​

Intermediate 1

​

To move to the intermediate 1 class, girls must have attended continuously at least 1 full year of gymnastics before having the evaluation to move into intermediate. There are exceptions, for example: student has taken gymnastics at another school and/or students taking more than one class a week will advance and learn at a faster rate.

​

Below are the skills needed to move into the intermediate 1 class.

​

  • Student is comfortable walking on the high beam by themselves without a spot

  • Has a pullover on bars

  • Can do a backward roll to their feet on a flat floor (not on cheese mat)

  • Perfected bridges with straight arms

  • Has perfected cartwheel with correct hand order as well as starting and finishing on lunge position

  • Can run and punch the springboard with two feet 

  • Has a handstand with proper foundation

  • Can do Handstand to bridge

  • Bridge kick over with mat - with straight legs

​

Students will begin to work towards learning the following skills in the Intermediate 1 class:

​

Floor 

  • Walkovers 

  • Mastering Handstand to bridge 

  • Backward roll to feet 

  • Handstand forward roll 

  • Roundoff: step hurdle, running

Bars

  • Glide swing

  • Pullover

  • Back hip circle

  • Tap swings with re-grip

Beam

  • Straight jumps

  • Pivot turns

  • Handstands on low beam with spot

  • Cartwheels with spot on a low beam

Vault

  • Handstand on and Handstand off

  • Handstand flat back over the vault table onto the mat stack

Intermediate 2

​

To move to the intermediate 2 class, girls must have mastered all skills in the intermediate 1 class.

​

Students will continue to master skills from intermediate 1 while beginning to add new advance skills in the Intermediate class 2:

​

Bars

  • Pullover

  • Back hip circle under swing

  • Mill circle with a spot

  • Kip with a spot

Vault 

  • Front handspring with a spot on mat stack

  • Mastering handstand flat back onto the mat stack

Floor 

  • Roundoff

  • Front and back walkover

  • Front handspring

Beam

  • Relieve hold

  • Straight jumps

  • Handstand on high beam with a spot

Intermediate 3

​

To move to the intermediate 3 class, girls must have mastered all skills in the intermediate 1 and 2 classes.

​

Students will continue to work intermediate 1 and 2 skills while working towards mastering the following in the Intermediate class 3:

​

Bars

  • Glide swing

  • Pullover

  • Back hip circle

  • Tap swings with re-grip

  • Squad on

  • Leg cut, mill circle with a spot

Beam

  • Releve holds for twenty seconds

  • Cartwheel on low beam without spot

  • Full handstands on low beam without spot

Floor 

  • Handstand hold 

  • Cartwheel 

  • Walkovers 

  • Handstand to bridge stand up

  • Backward roll to feet 

  • Handstand forward roll 

  • Roundoff: step hurdle, running

Vault

  • Handstand flat back over onto the mat stack

  • Body positions
